The Sweetest Thing
There’s now a couple of local shops (stores) selling imported American sweets (candy) and I picked up some Mountain Dew earlier… It’s a great taste and so much better than the energy drink version that’s on sale here… Only problem is that to get the milk duds to go with it requires further driving....

I had the pleasure of playing a rather tasty resonator ukulele from Pete Howlett last week. It’s a tenor sized uke with a wonderful sweet tone and exceptional finish and powered by a delta resonator cone too – a great combo! I’ve been working with those nice people at Kelham Island Museum in Sheffield on an event that is coming up as part of the Children’s Festival 2011. It’s called a Kelham Haunting and is a essentially a spooky after hours guided tour of the museum and some of it’s ghosts… cool or what! We’ve been busy boys and girl this weekend with three shows. Friday was an amazing night at the Harlequin, thanks to all who came along! On Saturday we played at Bateman’s Mill Hotel in Chesterfield which was a wonderful place and a great crowd too – then on Sunday we played during the afternoon at the Abbeydale Industrial Hamlet in Sheffield.
