Well here’s the first batch of Beach Hut DVD’s by Anne Smithies. We’ve been working on this for a while and it’s now going to be launched at The International Quilt Festival Houston in the USA next week!

It will then be on sale in the UK either direct from Anne (www.madbird.co.uk) or via www.machinequilter.co.uk.

Redtooth recently ran the Punch National Quiz Competition in which over 400 Punch outlets from all corners of the UK took part in an eight week pub competition, then twenty regional finals and finally the top twenty teams at Aston Villa in order to crown the winner! – Here’s the video from the event.

It’s a tenor sized uke with a wonderful sweet tone and exceptional finish and powered by a delta resonator cone too – a great combo! This one is a prototype but there should be some production models coming soon… Watch this space!

It’s called a Kelham Haunting and is a essentially a spooky after hours guided tour of the museum and some of it’s ghosts… cool or what!

Ben (my boy!) is one of them and we recently did some publicity shots and filmed a trailer…

Dare you come along?

We’ve been busy boys and girl this weekend with three shows. Friday was an amazing night at the Harlequin, thanks to all who came along!

On Saturday we played at Bateman’s Mill Hotel in Chesterfield which was a wonderful place and a great crowd too – then on Sunday we played during the afternoon at the Abbeydale Industrial Hamlet in Sheffield. Another fun afternoon in the Sun!

I went to see Groanbox last night at the Redhouse in Sheffield. The Redhouse is an ace venue, nominated at the Great British Pub Awards last year too for best entertainment pub! (I was there – they were robbed!). The band were as good as ever, I’ve seen them before but can’t get enough of their unique sound, if you’ve not had the delight you really should check them out very soon… then go see them live.

The event (and trophy!) was won by Ardwick FC from Manchester.

Was good to visit the Blackpool magic convention again and catch up with buddies plus start planning for a cool event coming up in September….

Redtooth were in attendance at the Publican awards at the Grosvenor on Park Lane, London.

Whilst working in Portsmouth for the Redtooth Poker South England final I took this photo from my hotel room – I loved the colours of blue for the pool and red in the dining area. After a little tweaking on the iPhone I came up with this image, kinda like it.
